Single Strum per Bar – Count four – Down strum on one

A Straight Four Pattern – Count four – Down strum on every count

A Straight Eight Pattern – Count four with AND in between – Down and up evenly
- Nickelodeon – Put another nickel in
A Swung Eight Pattern – Same as Straight Eight, but delay up strum

Easy Four Chord Songs

Here are thirty easy songs that can be played with just four chords.

Go through the “Lots more songs” lists and select one song that we will play as a class next week.

The take-away from these practice songs, is that you can play hundreds of songs by just learning three chords. We will be learning at least FIVE CHORDS by the time class is over, and you will learn how to find out any chord to any song you want to play using the internet.

Homework

Go through the THREE CHORD and FOUR CHORD songs and select a song that we will do at our recital. Next week we will play them.
